{Styled: Vintage Bottles}

Absolutely one of my fave ways to style vintage bottles...
Styled
All grouped together, and with a stem or two in each!  Eeks ~ I love the variety of white flowers used here.  Just have a look-see at how pretty they are...
Styled
While I am partial to white, always have been, almost any color would look fabulous.  And you could choose to use all one color, or a variety of colors...either way they would look gorgeous.

Styling Tip:  Smaller groupings are fabulous for centerpieces too.  However, a large group looks lovely on a welcome table, an escort table, or even as a backdrop for the ceremony location.  Yet, I would love to see a cake on a tall stand with a grouping of the smaller bottles all around ~ I think that would be just over the moon!

{Styled: A Vintage Cameo}

While there are a handful of ways to incorporate a vintage cameo into a wedding, one of my favorite ways is on a bouquet!  Have a look-see at how pretty it is...
Styling
Oh so pretty!

Styling Tip - One thing to keep in mind here is that if you want the cameo to show while holding the bouquet, make sure that the person creating your bouquet leaves the stems long enough to do so!

{Repurposed: Wood Soda Crate}

Happy Thursday my dears!  Goodness, I can't even believe that it is Thursday today.  Where in the world did the week go?  And to think that this weekend is Memorial Day ~ aye, aye, aye!!!

Anyhoo, before I get ahead of myself, again, about the weekend...I wanted to share this super duper easy and cute way to display caramel corn (or popcorn or a variety of other treats)...
Homemade Vintage Rentals
Cute, no?  Oh, me likey A LOT!  I am always over the moon about repurposing things ;-)  And all you need for this project is a wood soda crate and some homemade cone holders (just roll some parchment or paper to form a cone and glue or tape to secure) ~ that's all it takes to get this fun, festive vintage caramel corn holder.  However, I think you can put just about anything in those cones and it would be fabulous!

{Vintage Rentals Inventory}

Hi loves!  I just wanted to point out, in case you didn't notice already, that along the right side there is a Vintage Rentals Inventory list.  Looks like this...
Inventory-List
I have broken my inventory into specific categories to make it easier to find items you are looking for.  However, I just STARTED adding items to the categories, and I have bunches and bunches of stuff...that it will be quite some time before I have everything photographed and uploaded...so be sure to check back often as new items are uploaded almost daily!  Plus, new purchases are always being made as well ;-)

But remember, this is only a temporary spot for the inventory list until the website is up and running.  And as of now we are looking at August before the website is up and running.  I was hoping for June, but I'll take August ;-)))  Hey, it could always be farther out, right?

Anyhoo, I wanted to make sure that if you are looking for vintage rentals please check the Inventory first, and if for some reason you don't see something that you are looking for ~ please contact me ~ as I probably have it, and just haven't had the chance to get it uploaded!  And if I don't have it, I would LOVE to get it for you!!!  Also, if you have any questions, or need ideas and/or inspiration ~ contact me as well...would love to work with you!

{Star of the Week: Camping Table & Chairs}

With Memorial Day this weekend, and a handful of people I know going camping ~ I thought that this darling metal camping table and chairs was the perfect choice for the 'Star of the Week' this week.  Just have a look-see at the chippy, rusted green paint on the table...oh and the chairs have a red paint that is peeking through...
VR
Made of metal, all pieces fold for easy portability...making it the perfect table and chair combo for photo shoots ~ engagement, day after, styled, anniversary, etc...  A couple ideas that pop into my head for a photo shoot are a woodsy romantic dinner table for two under the stars, a picnic in the park, a fun campfire game themed photo shoot...or anything else you can think up!
Star of the Week
Styling Tip:  The table and chairs would be a darling bride and groom table for a woodsy, rustic wedding ~ so many ways to style...from red and white checks to dreamy vintage linens, moss, mushrooms, bark and branches.  And the table would be perfect for a cake and dessert table!  Can't you picture a lovely cake on a wood round?  Perfect, no?

Oh, the possibilities ;-)

{Vintage Inspired: Cake}

Don't you just love when you find that perfect vintage inspiration?  Oh, I know I do!  And I found it on these two sweet cakes.  The ruffle detail on both adds such a sweet vintage touch.  And the simple styling is just perfection.  I can't decide which ruffle I like more ~  this fabulous blue one...
Cake
Or this pretty pink one...
Cake
Hmmm ~ I am thinking the blue one is my fave!  I just adore that ruffle.  Yes, now that I look at it again ~ definitely the blue.  How about you...which one is your fave?

{Styled: A Chair}

Sometimes it's as simple as adding a crown...
Vintage
Eeks ~ picture perfect, no?

Styling Tip:  While this is the picture perfect spot for a crown, it would also be the perfect spot for pictures of the bride, groom, ring pillow, bouquets, centerpieces, shoes, jewelry, favors, cake, invitations and other small details.  Also, as I said on Tuesday...I LOVE the idea of the bride and groom having their own chairs at the table, don't you?

You bet your buttons it would make sense to rent one or two chairs...for a picture like the one above ~ it would be oh so worth it.

Granted, I'm not suggesting you take pictures of all of the items listed above on the chair...then you would have a bunch of pictures of the same chair...not good.  However, taking pictures of one or two items listed above, and then using the chairs for the bride and groom at the table would not only be the perfect balance, but picture perfect too!

And one other quick tip ~ make sure you make a list for the photographer of the pictures that you really want!  This way, you won't have to try and remember on your wedding day.

{Homemade: Salt Cellar}

Oh do I have a darling and easy peasy DIY for you today.  Move over plain old salt shakers, there is a new lid in town!  A zinc one, and it's been filled with pretty pink salt...
Darling-Detail
Not only is this the perfect way to use those lids from the mason jars, but it will blend in beautifully with your vintage table decor!  So much better than your plain old salt shaker, no?

I love the patina on this vintage silverware...
silverware in glass love via forget me knot weddings viagrey likes weddings
To me it adds character and charm.  And good golly, whatever you do ~ please don't polish them!  I like them just the way they are ;-)

{Star of the Week: Parlor Chair}

I can't tell you how much I am loving this parlor chair this week!  I was so tickled when I found a set of 6 all with white chippy paint.  I heart chippy paint!  And speaking of hearts, isn't it darling...
Vintage-Rental-Parlor-Chair
Two of these would be perfect for the bride and groom chairs, no?

Styling Tip:  If using for the bride and groom chairs, I think they would look fabulous with Mr. and Mrs. hanging inside the heart!

Oh, and with a set of 6 they would also be perfect to use for a photo shoot around a table.  So many ways to use ~ which definitely makes them the 'Star of the Week'!

{Let's Celebrate}

Happy Monday morning my dears.  Yes I am quite happy this morning, as we are finally up an running here at Over The Moon Vintage Rentals!  ~ squeal of delight ~  And because we are up and running, I think we need to celebrate, don't you?  So my darlings, grab an oh so pretty glass...
Details
...and let's raise it in a toast.  A toast to you.  All of you...for your support, encouragement, thoughts, and feedback!   I can't even begin to tell you how much it means to me, and how much I appreciate it!!!  I don't think I would have started OTMVR without you ~ so today we are celebrating YOU, my friends and family.  Cheers!

I am ecstatic about sharing this new business venture with you.  My goal, as it always has been with Luna and Chloe Weddings, is to inspire you.  Here I hope to inspire you with fabulous, fun and even quirky ideas on how to incorporate and style vintage finds into your event ~ whatever type of event it may be!

I am working on some pretty posts for the rest of the week, and do plan on posting daily!  As with Luna and Chloe Weddings, you will find weekly or biweekly posts such as Styled, Over the Moon, Purchase Peek and Star of the Week (a piece from OTMVR's inventory that I am loving that week), as well as any shoots or events that used OTMVR's pieces.  Also, I plan on giving you styling tips for most posts that will look something like this:

Styling Tip:  Vintage glasses all lined up on pretty fabric make quite an impact.  No need for anything else  ~ just let the glasses themselves take center stage.

So be on the lookout for those as well!  And just because I posted a pretty picture today, doesn't mean there wasn't something relevant in it...vintage glasses on what looks like the prettiest blue velvet fabric is definitely what I see...they are styled that way.  I don't only see pretty glasses.  So even if some tips might seem obvious to you, it might not be to others.  I hope to not only point out the obvious styling tips, but for those of you that know me, know that I have bunches of ideas for most things and will share those styling tips too.

I am sure that I will add other things as I go along, but for now this is it, and I couldn't be more OVER THE MOON about it!
